Prigozhin PMC and Putin — sanctions evasion

Polina Yevgenyevna is the daughter of Yevgeniy Prigozhin — the Russian businessman who, on behalf of Vladimir Putin, previously ran the private military contractor Wagner Group (“Company Wagner”, which is in fact a Russian state-supported mercenary group responsible for military operations in Africa and Syria). According to public investigations, Polina Prigozhina holds a significant share of her father’s assets, and is playing a key role in the structured network devised by Yevgeniy Prigozhin to circumvent sanctions and legally shield his assets.

OFAC — Election interference

She has played a role in the Internet Research Agency (IRA), the entity directed by Yevgeniy Prigozhin that interfered in the 2016 US presidential election and continually seeks to interfere with the democratic processes of the United States and its allies. In 2022 she was designated by the US Treasury under E.O. 13661 and E.O. 13848.

EU sanctions — Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

She was designated on the EU sanctions list by the Council of the EU in 2022 in relation to the actions of the Russian Government and its armed forces in Ukraine, which are responsible for the ongoing illegal invasion of Ukraine. Polina Prigozhina acts in a way that materially assists the Russian Government in its continuing violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Ukraine Register of Persons

The entity is designated on the official state register of sanctioned persons and entities by Ukraine’s NSDC.
